How To Create A Christmassy Conservatory

Have you got that festive feeling yet? There are only 33 days until Santa hits his sleigh, so you should be planning your Christmas celebrations now.

If you’re staying at home for Christmas and inviting others to join you, your first decision should be choosing where to open the presents, host the annual turkey dinner and play those traditional post-meal games.

We suggest you use your conservatory or whatever home extension it is that you have. But you need to give it that seasonal feel, and we have three suggestions of how to transform it into a winter wonderland.

  1. Have a solid roof fitted

Whilst we love looking at the weather outside during the winter, we don’t necessarily want to feel the cold indoors. If your conservatory lacks energy efficiency, the installation of a solid roof should be a major priority as it will make the interior feel significantly warmer and more comfortable for occupants.

  1. Buy a Christmas tree

It is a very obvious point, but Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without a Christmas tree. Take the necessary measurements beforehand to ensure that the Christmas tree you buy isn’t too large or small and can easily be taken into the conservatory for setting up. Plenty tinsel, fairy lights and an angel for the top of the tree are a must.

  1. Decorate the windows

Glass is a key component of any conservatory, so utilise it by applying Christmas-related window decorations such as removable stickers and silhouettes. Those with young children could always ask them to put their arts and crafts skills into practice and create their own Christmas window decorations, something they’re certain to relish doing.

All that’s left to do then is place all of the Christmas presents under the tree in readiness for a Christmas Day that will live long in the memory.
