Clock your time in the shower
You shouldn’t be spending more than five minutes in the shower, as health experts will tell you that doing so is bad for your skin.
If you have a tendency to go over five minutes, set a stopwatch before you step into the shower and force yourself to switch it off when it goes off. This will keep your skin in good condition and also save you money on energy.
Keep using your washing line
For much of the summer, your washing line should have been in use as it has been one of the driest summers that we have had in a long time.
If this autumn and winter are similarly dry, wet clothing needs to be pegged out, rather than dried out indoors on your radiators or in the tumble dryer. This will also minimise the threat of condensation forming on your windows, which can occur from the moisture created from indoor drying.
