A Summary Of 2023’s Home Interior Design Trends

May we begin by wishing you a Happy New Year! We look forward to seeing what lies ahead and you hopefully have an equal excitement about what 2023 has in store for you.

You may have reached the decision to make certain changes in your life and altering the look and feel of your home could be one of them.

In this case, it would be helpful if you knew the following -“What are the design trends for 2023?”

It would be remiss of us not to know with us being one of the region’s best-loved home improvement companies, so here what you need to know.

Wild Wonder™ – Dulux Colour of the Year

Each year, the paint experts at Dulux release their ‘Colour of the Year’ and for 2023 they have gone with ‘Wild Wonder™’, a choice they state as being “inspired by the natural world”.

It’s a very delicate green shade, which ties into their wish to have a colour with an obvious nature-like undercurrent that when employed indoors will make homeowners more conscious of the increasingly threatened outside world.

Wild Wonder™ is pleasantly soft and also warm, making it a colour possibility for most rooms, but particularly settings like bedrooms, kitchens and home offices.

Irregular rugs

A change of floor covering can often have a huge transformative effect, but it won’t be your conventional circular, rectangular and square rugs that people buy in 2023.

They’ll instead be drawn to curved, angular and geometric rugs for their conservatory designs and living areas and create a statement with them.

When they see your quirky-shaped rugs, your guests will view you as a true original.

Social spaces

Due to Covid, house parties had to be put off for a prolonged period, but those big social occasions will return as householders reach a point where they’re comfortable with having large numbers in their home.

The kitchen is a good base for any communal gathering if it includes an island accompanying breakfast bar as then guests can freely mingle with you and others whilst you do your cooking.

It could also be hosted in an orangery, conservatory or other home extension if it’s insulated, has suitable lighting and is neatly styled.
