Introducing ‘Envisage’ Flush Casement Windows

Unless you are passing through a conservation area or paying a visit to a listed building, you don’t see too many original flush casement windows in and around the York area. That shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise as flush casements date back years, but they’ve recently been popularised again thanks to our ‘Envisage’ range.  

Envisage is our modern interpretation of a classic timber flush casement, boasting the same simple, clean lines, authentic proportions and opening lights that do not stand proud of the frame. Even the hardware is a replica of the door furniture found on a traditional flush casement with the availability of monkeytail handles and alike. It comes in a selection of traditional and contemporary colours, including our exclusive Olive Grey finish, and you can accessorise the design with astragal bars.

Despite all of this, it couldn’t be more different to a wood-crafted flush casement, predominantly because it’s actually manufactured from UPVC, not that you would realise by looking at it. The coloured finishes feature a woodgrain effect and their application onto the window frame creates the character of a wooden window.

The use of UPVC eliminates the possibility of the flush casement deteriorating as it ages. You don’t have to bother painting or repairing Envisage, which is the complete opposite to the tiresome lengths you must employ to keep original flush casements in a respectable condition which are renowned for splitting, swelling etc.

It is capable of achieving a WER of A+ and U-Value of 1.2, so cheap energy and all-year round thermal comfort is assured.

The “Secure It” locking system, for ultimate security, is incorporated into Envisage which connects with the full length of the window for impenetrable strength. It has been tested over 30,000 times and the resistance to continued force it demonstrated in testing earned it the Secured by Design accreditation, one of only a select number of locking mechanisms to have full approval from the Police.
