Orion Windows was established in York in 1989 and is independently owned. From the early days the founders have worked to build a home improvement company based on recommendations by providing an outstanding service and high levels of customer care. Over the years Orion Windows have grown to become the area’s leading installer in Yorkshire, boasting an impressive showroom with conservatories, orangeries & solid roofs on display and with additional window and door displays. TO OUR CUSTOMERS & FRIENDS

As a responsible employer and company, we want you to know we’re prioritising your health and safety in response to the current COVID-19 outbreak.

We want to reassure you that the safety and well being of our customers and colleagues is always a top priority. Therefore due to the unfolding situation, we are very sad to announce that we will be closing our showroom from 1700 on Monday 23rd March 2020 until further notice.

We are also suspending any new installations with immediate effect but will complete ongoing installations to ensure your home is secure and weatherproof. We will have limited access to emails during the period of closure but will be in contact as soon as normal business can resume.

This difficult decision has been taken to protect the health and safety of our customers and staff.

We will continue to monitor developments over the coming weeks and abide by advice from the UK Government and World Health Organisation and we will reopen when it is safe to do so.

FENSA - providing homeowner protection in the double glazing industry...

FENSA stands for the Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme. Following Government encouragement, FENSA has been set up by the Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) and other industry bodies in response to Building Regulations for double glazing companies in England and Wales.

When replacing windows and doors, homeowners must comply with current thermal performance standards and ensure they get a certificate from FENSA or Local Authority Building Control. FENSA enables companies that install replacement windows and doors to self-certify compliance under these Building Regulations without the need for a separate assessment from Building Control.
